Well to answer the first question, it depends on how soon Google will find the new website. This can take anything from a few days to a few weeks, but there are some quick method ways to help new websites and web pages get found quicker. Sometimes within 24 hours.
Getting the website on the first page of Google however is a bit trickier. It's becoming harder and harder to achieve that these days due to the huge number of competing websites all fighting to get ranked for the same search terms. The most popular searched for terms being the hardest.
